An analogmixer is a musical device used in live music and recording that amplifies and
combines signals from microphones or instruments. The analog mixers with onboard mixing
feature like EQ and panning effects to hear inputs. Individual mixer tracks are
combined at the end of the signal flow to create a single stereo output sent to
a recording device, the PA system amplifier, or headphone output. Many mixers
have extensive signal routing options, including aux sends groups and inserts.
Although analog mixers come in a wide range of sizes and shapes, the small and
medium-sized desktop models utilized for live sound and home recording are the
most prevalent
