what is dolby atmos studio?

Since Dolby Atmos is an immersive sound format that allows you to place audio around the listener, you will need a certain number of loudspeakers to monitor your mix. On the other hand, binaural rendering is a great way to get started, and monitoring on headphones should be part of your mixing process. Dolby Atmos studio setup installation requires  the specific requirements listed as follows:

  • An Avid S4 console should be the focal point of a Dolby Atmos studio. 9.1.4 Speaker system all around.
  • We have four PMC Ci65 speakers on the back wall, two more PMC Ci140 speakers left and right, and three PMC Ci140 monitors up front (C, L, R).

Then, 2 PMC Ci140 subs on either side of the centre speaker or 4 PMC Ci30 above us overhead.
